OWN IT 2020
OWN It is a leadership conference designed to empower women to own their identities and pursue their own careers.

The conference has panels that bring together multiple women of diverse backgrounds, professions, and experiences on one stage to unite under a vocational theme.

Design Front Cover of OWN IT Program
My Process
Initial Explorations
I first put together some rough ideas I created as potential covers and presented it to the team. I was interested in using simple and abstract shapes because of how bold the colors were.

I felt the more simple the graphic, the more powerful the image of the girl could speak.

Unfortunately, this project got cut short because of COVID but I was able to finalize a graphic of the girl from the original logo whose body I made form the letters that spell "OWN IT"!

During OWN It 2021, we were able to use it on the cup merch we sent out in our packages! This was super cool and exciting for me to see and I'll never forget it! 😊

Winter Recruitment 2021
Our theme for winter recruitment was all space and planets! Our director let me take creative control with wanting to use my newly learned After Effects tools and I had a blast making the flyer and video.

My Process
Our theme was space and planets!
For Winter of 2021, our recruitment catchline was "Explore Endless Possibilities. Here are two deliverables I made for the event!

'One Day Till Recruitments'
I loved that we were using rockets in our campaign and didn't want to miss out on the opportunity to animate one for marketing! For the "1 day till Recrutiment post", I created a short video using After Effects!

First I created a storyboard and then developed it into AfterEffects!

Back-Side Flyer
For the back flyer, I thought it would be cool to utilize the rings in the solar sytem to visually organize the events taking place during recrutiment week. I sketched out my idea and then developed the final version on Illustrator.

Bringing these graphics into fruition
For Fall of 2020, our catchline was "Bring your Ambition into Fruition". I really enjoyed making graphics for this theme - I got to be creative but also standardize a few versions of the same deliverable for instagram posts and highlights.

Final Thoughts
My favorite part of college.
Being a part of this team was one of my favorite parts of college! I gained a lot of personal development with challenging myself creatively and becoming comfortable communicating with others and handling tasks. I also practiced using different tools to strengthen my visual skills.

Most importantly, I learned that there is always room for everyone and that there is so much power in uplifting and supporting each other to reach individual and team goals - we're unstoppable when full of love.

To close, here is a clip of our Fall 2019 Recruitment Promo Video I created that celebrates how far women have come in all fields:
